1. Private Practice Trust Fund Grants

  • Research Support Grants awarded $75,000 to projects of significant merit and clinical relevance with a track record of research.

Dr Ali Naderi Oncology, Division of Cancer Services A pre-clinical study of combined Androgen Receptor and MEK inhibition as a targeted therapy in Oestrogen Receptor negavtive Bre.
Dr Trish O'Moore-Sullivan Departments of Diabetics and Endocrinology Use of aldosterone blockade to improve myocardial fibrosis in obesity.
Associate Professor Benedict Panizaa Queensland Skull Base Unit Development of Neurotropism in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
Dr Elizabeth Powell Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Non-invasive assessment of liver injury in subjects with fatty liver disease.
Associate Professor Ian Scott Department of Internal Medicine A new prescribing technology for older patients.

 

2. Project Grants

  • $75,000 in funding awarded to projects from the PA Research Foundation.

3. Nursing and Allied Health Grants

  • $25,000 funding from PA Research Foundation

Associate Professor Jennifer Fleming Occupational Therapy Evaluation of the utility of a newly developed virtual reality prospective memory task in individuals with traumatic brain injury.
Associate Professor Pim Kuipers Centre for Functioning and Health Research Efficacy-orientated care: An intervention with brain injured patients, family members, nurses and allied health professionals.


4. New Appointment Grant
