One of our longtime friends and fundraising champions, Tammy from Cupcake Crayzee, hosted a beautiful High Tea at her home on Saturday June 23 to raise funds for cancer research. Tammy has been fighting her own battle with breast cancer battle since 2011, but remains firmly committed to fundraising in support of cancer research at the PA Hospital Campus by baking her beautiful cupcakes.
The High Tea brought over 90 guests together, including Tammy's close friends, family and breast cancer survivors. Guests enjoyed an abundance of sweet treats, savoury delights and endless cups of tea, as well as amazing raffles, great conversation, and a few heartfelt words of thanks from Tammy. Close friend Beverly also shaved her head in solidarity.
Tammy and the team from Cupcake Crayzee raised a remarkable $7500 and are hoping to reach their fundraising goal of $10,000 for cancer research.
Tammy is extremely passionate about research, and as a metastatic breast cancer patient, she understands the crucial role it plays in improving treatment options and enabling people affected by cancer to live longer lives. Despite the adversity Tammy has experienced, she still celebrates every day, spreading positivity (and cupcakes) to everyone around her.
An enormous thank you on behalf of the PA Research Foundation to Tammy and her family for their invaluable support of the PA Research Foundation. You can still donate to support Tammy's fundraising here.
