Put the odds in your favour

"We are working hard, and the more guys that go out and get their PSA tested, the more clinical cases we know about. It also helps us if you get tested because you get tested early, your cancer goes away if it gets treated effectively, that helps us as well because that's the outcome we ultimately want. There's nothing bad about getting tested "

More than 3,000 Australian men will die from prostate cancer this year.

Prostate cancer is the second biggest cause of cancer related deaths among Aussie blokes. If something doesn't seem right, see your GP and chat to your mates to encourage them to do the same.

You don't have to get a digital rectal exam

These days prostate early detection tests are usually carried out as a simple PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood test.

So go on, pull your finger out and get tested!

Only 30% of a man's overall health is determined by genetics.

If you have a Y Chromosome, don't ask "Y me?" when it's too late. Own the other 70% of your health and get a check to put the odds in your favour.

As well as getting your prostate checked, you should also be checking:

  • Heart health
  • Cholesterol
  • Skin cancers
  • Bowel cancer
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Testicular cancer (self-exams)
  • Teeth
