Fundraise or donate today to raise lifesaving funds for melanoma research
The Million Metres for Melanoma challenge has the potential to make a significant difference to the lives of those, who as yet do not even know they have a melanoma diagnosis by partnering with PA Research Foundation and The Dermatology Research Centre. The team are aiming to raise $250,000 to revolutionise melanoma detection.
Million Metres for Melanoma
The Million Metres for Melanoma team are excited and humbled to have Boardcave supporting them for their 2022 event! Boardcave have kindly donated one of two, custom-made surfboards which were shaped for Jordy Smith, one of the world's best pro-surfer's, to ride at the World Surf League events at Bells Beach and Margaret River in 2022.
Ticket sales close on 1 July 2022 at 1pm (AEST) and the raffle will be drawn the same day. Be sure to grab your tickets before they sell out for your chance to own one of Jordy Smith's personal custom-made surfboards.
Raffle tickets are only $10 each and sales are capped at 750 tickets.
As part of the Million Metres for Melanoma Campaign, students across Brisbane are aiming to raise money and awareness around skin cancer by participating in a rowing challenge.

The Vectra 360 machine
The fight against skin cancer has been taken to another level with the introduction of the Vectra 360 machine. This machine produces a detailed 3-D image of a patient which replicates the skin surface in complete detail. This makes it very easy to pick up any changes between check-ups, in particular with high-risk individuals.
Every year in Australia, skin cancer accounts for around 80 per cent of all newly diagnosed cancers. Here in Queensland, our outdoor lifestyle puts us at great risk.
The Vectra 360 is part of the solution to early detection.
