A new chapter in the PA Research Foundation story has officially begun, with new CEO Nathalie Trott taking over the reins of the Foundation from outgoing leader Damian Topp.
Nathalie brings a wealth of philanthropic and leadership experience to the role and is excited to be joining a highly impactful organisation, whose work is enabled by generous people who choose the Foundation as their place to give.
“I’m thrilled to be joining such a wonderful team who undertake such important work raising funds to improve health outcomes for patients across Metro South Health and more broadly Queensland and Northern NSW,” she said.
“The Foundation has an incredible track record of funding bench to bedside research and supporting patients to get home sooner to their loved ones, as well as helping the health system to acquire cutting edge equipment and empower staff to gain new knowledge and experience.
“What a privilege I’ve been given to work with the Foundation team and board to continue building upon that legacy.”
Passionate about research and community, the new chief executive believes the growth of not just the PA Hospital, but the four other Hospitals within Metro South Health present a unique opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the future of healthcare in Australia.
“As the communities of southern Brisbane, Redland, Logan and Beaudesert continue to grow, a key challenge will be ensuring our ability to positively impact the health of those communities, through our Hospital Funds, grows as well,” she explained.
“I’d like to thank the board for their faith and belief in appointing me to the role and acknowledge and congratulate Damian for his decade and a half of service and support to the healthcare and medical research communities.
“I’m looking forward to meeting with plenty of the Foundation’s kind and generous donors, as well as each of our valued corporate partners, as we work together to give hope to the many thousands of people who are diagnosed with cancer and other serious diseases each year.”
