My Smiddy Fun Run
I'm running in the Smiddy Fun Run to raise crucial funds for the PA Research Foundation to support life-saving melanoma and skin cancer research.
It's a cause close to my heart. In 2019 I was diagnosed with melanoma. Thankfully it was caught in its early stages, and I haven't had a recurrence in the last 3 years.
If you have a couple of bucks to give towards vital research to ensure everyone has the same outcome as me, that would be much appreciated.

A cause close to my heart
Monday 20th Nov In 2019 I was diagnosed with melanoma - only a week after my closest friend was diagnosed with the same thing! Her diagnosis had encouraged me to follow up on my scheduled skin check, and it was a shock to receive the news that I too had a melanoma.Thankfully it was caught early, and it was completely removed through surgery at PAH. The amazing doctors and nurses in 1D outpatients looked after me so well, and I now have regular checks with my dermatologist, as it is more likely to recur within a 5 year period. So 3 down and 2 to go!
