PARF/TRI Collaborative Microgrant Program

Are you a novice, early or mid-career clinician seeking financial support for a collaborative research idea?

PA Research Foundation has partnered with the Translational Research Institute (TRI) to make $3000 available for seed funding to enable MSH clinicians  to purchase consumables (or services) required to undertake a collaborative short-term research project with a TRI-based scientist.
Only one grant per research project will be awarded in a 12-month period and the grants are aimed at novice, early and mid-career clinicians.

Terms and conditions

Foundation staff review applications on a monthly basis.

Please keep your answers short and use plain, simple, everyday language. It is important to include what you are asking for or why, or how your project will better patients’ lives at the MSH Hospitals.
Information submitted in this application may be used by PARF to talk to donors about projects their donations have supported.
Do not include any details about your project which cannot be shared publicly, including information on unprotected intellectual property. 
Please submit applications prior to the 1st of the month for consideration during that month.
The PA Research Foundation (PARF) supports research, patient support, and staff education for the wider PA Hospital Campus community. The Translational Research Institute (TRI) is a medical research, development and translation facility located on the PAH campus. TRI strives to connect scientists with clinicians to provide access to research and world class facilities to solve healthcare challenges together.

Funding process:

  1. Submit your application to funding@pafoundation.org.au.
  2. All applications go to the Foundation Funding Subcommittee for shortlisting and recommendations and to the TRI Research and Clinical Translation team for approval.
  3. Shortlisted applications to be reviewed and approved by the Foundation CEO.
  4. Funding subcommittee meets monthly. A response will be provided to applicants within two weeks of the meeting.
