Your donation will help save lives

Too many Queenslanders continue to be diagnosed with melanoma and advanced forms of skin cancer such as squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and rare forms such as merkel cell carcinomas. 1 in 21 women and 1 in 14 men will be likely be diagnosed with melanoma in their lifetime and Queensland is considered the skin cancer capital of the world.

With your support the Queensland Melanoma Institute can progress research, advance care and improve outcomes, ultimately saving lives and changing even more for the better.
The Queensland Melanoma Institute will keep patients and consumers front of mind by bringing together leading melanoma and skin cancer experts from three key areas; Clinical Departments, Research Groups and Health Institutions.

Clinical

Multiple cancer care departments from two tertiary hospitals including PA Hospital's Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Dermatology and Pathology and Mater Hospital's General Surgical Oncology.

Research

Linking researchers from the Fraser Institute Surgical Oncology Laboratory, UQ Dermatology Research Group, Smiddy Lab, Mater Research Institute, QIMR Berghofer Institute, and Cancer Alliance Queensland.

Institutions

Bringing experts together from leading health institutions including Metro South Health, Queensland Health, Clinical Excellence Queensland, University of Queensland and Mater Health.

Patients

Informed care and research is led by patient and consumer and supporter perspectives and experiences.
