This year, approximately 20,434 women and 206 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia. Eight women a day lose their battle with breast cancer, making it the second most common female cancer related death.
Since 2015, Stellarossa has been a strong and passionate partner of PA Research Foundation’s Project Pink campaign, contributing to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Over the course of the partnership, Stellarossa has raised over $124,000, a sum that has gone directly to vital breast cancer research projects, including groundbreaking combination therapy research led by Professor Fiona Simpson. Last year, Stellarossa Warner was the top performing venue, among Mackay and Rockhampton which are also very engaged each year.
Stellarossa’s network of cafes across 23 locations is getting ready to rally together once again for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. Whether it’s through purchasing a cup of coffee, donating in-store, or buying special pink goodies, Stellarossa customers have the opportunity to make a real difference in the fight against breast cancer. With every purchase, Stellarossa customers contribute to life-saving research. It’s a simple but powerful way to make a difference, and the support continues to grow each year. The funds raised support the PA Foundation’s ongoing work in researching innovative therapies and treatments for breast cancer, bringing us closer to breakthroughs that could change the lives of millions, as well as improving patient comfort.
This October, the Foundation invites everyone to join Stellarossa in making a real impact. Whether you’re grabbing your morning coffee, enjoying a treat, or purchasing a special Project Pink item from one of the 23 participating cafes, every contribution helps fund the essential research needed to fight breast cancer. Additionally, donations can be made directly online or in-store.
